Webinars: LGBTQ+ Youth and Suicide -- by the Trevor Project

The Colorado Office of Suicide Prevention (OSP) is delighted to be able to share the first Webinar in a 2-part Webinar series created for Colorado by The Trevor Project

This Webinar series is titled: 

LGBTQ Youth & Suicide: 
Common Crisis Issues & Best Practices for Youth-Serving Adults

This Webinar series is intended for Colorado adults who work with youth and young adults. 
  • The first ~1-hour Webinar introduces adults to LGBTQ+ terminologies, to understanding the increased risk of suicide among LGBTQ+ identifying youth, and to learning best practices on supporting LGBTQ+ youth, in general, as well as when they are having thoughts of suicide. 
  • The second ~1-hour Webinar will be a live, recorded event, which will be held on September 19, 2019 from 10-11am MDT. The recording of this Webinar will be made available, as well. Adults can join this live Webinar to ask questions based on the content from the first Webinar, and/or they can pose questions ahead of time through this Google Form

This 2-part Webinar series will be available for a year to Colorado adults who serve youth and young adults. We are grateful to be working in collaboration with the Trevor Project to support Colorado youth and young adults who identify as LGBTQ+!
