Technical Assistance On the Road: Chapter 2
March 25, 2014
Leah Emerick Anderson, CFPS Technical Assistance and Child fatality Prevention Coordinator, traveled to Frisco to participate in Summit County's Child Fatality Review Team Planning Meeting. It was a beautiful spring day in the mountains. Family's were out enjoying the snow and sun at the Frisco Adventure park just across the road from the medical office building where the CFR team met, demonstrating that Summit County truly is Colorado's playground!
Amy Wineland, Summit County CFR Team Coordinator and Director of Summit County Public Health, introduced the team to some of the yummiest food in Frisco through the catering services of Food Hedz.
The Summit County team had a productive discussion and plans to meet for additional training in the Fall.

Trip to Cheyenne County
Colleen Kapsimalis, CFPS Manager, and Leah Emerick Anderson, CFPS Technical Assistance and Child Fatality Prevention Coordinator, traveled to Cheyenne Wells to participate in Cheyenne County's Child Fatality Review Team Planning Meeting. The drive out was extremely WINDY and we returned to Denver with a few tumble weeds lodged in our bumper!

CFPS Operations Manual (Draft) Available
NOW AVAILABLE: CFPS Operations Manual
At long last, we have an operations manual for local child fatality review teams to reference!! Please keep in mind that this document is in the final stages of editing as Colorado's five existing local child fatality review teams add their feedback this month. Even after the "final edits" are made, this manual will remain a working document and we will continue to add content as needed.
In the meantime, please feel free to reference this CFPS Operations Manual (draft) to help answer any questions that may arise as your local teams get up and running. We welcome your feedback if anything in this manual seems unclear or if there is any additional content you would like to see added.
Thank you.
