The Colorado Department of Human Services is pleased to announce the posting of the Tony Grampsas Youth Services (TGYS) Request for Application (RFA) for SFY18-20. TGYS is a statutory program providing funding to local organizations that work with youth and their families through programs designed to prevent youth crime and violence, youth marijuana use, and child abuse and neglect.

In collaboration, the Colorado School Safety Resource Center, the Colorado Department of Education and the Office of Suicide Prevention are hosting a Suicide Prevention Symposium in Colorado Springs. Presentations will cover topics such as conducting school interventions, effective prevention programs and preventing contagion. Registration is open to anyone and costs $50, including breakfast and lunch. Register now!

SUIDIRF is now a PDF fillable form




The Center for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Sudden Unexplained Infant Death Investigation Reporting Form (SUIDIRF) is now available in a PDF fillable form. The SUIDIRF—EV application allows readable reports to be printed directly from the database and allows users to enter data only once. Agencies and jurisdictions can use the application to report and track information. The electronic version contains the primary SUIDIRF and the 10 additional investigative forms.

Youth Sexual Violence Prevention Data


The Sexual Violence Prevention Program at Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is excited to share data related to sexual health and sexual violence for Colorado youth. These data infographics (available in English and Spanish) highlight data from the Healthy Kids Colorado Survey, Child Health Survey and a capstone project that looked at Colorado school district policies across the state. This data provides a picture of the landscape in Colorado regarding where youth access information about healthy sexuality and relationships and may be useful to you as you work with partners in your community.  

CDOT Safe Routes to School Funding Opportunity


CDOT Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Program is accepting grant applications!

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) announces their Fiscal Year 2016-17 Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure Projects grant applications for project funding.  The guidelines and application are posted on the CDOT website. The goal of SRTS is to help schools, school districts and local communities enable and encourage more children in Kindergarten through 8th grade to safely bicycle and walk to and from school. Applications are due to CDOT-SRTS by COB Friday, December 2, 2016.
