Mini Grants: FRIDAY DEADLINE

Announcing Child Abuse Prevention Month:
Mini Grants
Hello Partners,

In 1983, President Ronald Reagan proclaimed that April was the first National Child Abuse Prevention Month.  Since then, child abuse and neglect awareness activities have been promoted across the national, state and local levels during April each year.

Denver Human Services has participated in Child Abuse Prevention Month activities for many years by offering free parenting classes, and partnering with community organizations to help spread awareness. This year we will continue to offer free parenting classes in the community as well as continue collaborating with community agencies as well as develop new partnerships.

The Prevention Services section at Denver Human Services is dedicated to creating a safe space where the community can recognize Child Abuse Prevention Month through various activities and promotional events in April.  We are committed to creating awareness of child abuse and find ways to prevent child abuse and neglect from ever occurring. We recognize that we cannot take on this important task alone; we need community partnerships.

We are pleased to announce our 1st Annual Child Abuse Prevention Month mini- grant opportunity for child abuse prevention month this April!

Denver Human Services is offering ten (10), $1,500.00 mini-grants to community organizations interested in celebrating Child Abuse Prevention Month by hosting a community event in April of this year.

Please help us spread the word and increase our community partnerships! The application deadline is Friday, March 6th.
