Child Fatality Review Training for Local Team Coordinators

June 5th and 6th, 2014

Denver, Colorado


The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is hosting a comprehensive training for local Child Fatality Prevention Team Coordinators in Denver, Colorado on June 5th and 6th, 2014.The Colorado Child Fatality Prevention System (CFPS) Support Team, along with Theresa Covington, MPH, from the National MCH Center for Child Death Review, will be training Coordinators on how to effectively conduct child fatality reviews (including case abstraction, data collection, and making prevention recommendations) and how to facilitate the activities of a local Child Fatality Prevention Review team. 

This training is OPEN to local Child Fatality Prevention Review team Coordinators and we encourage one Coordinator from each team to attend. The state has funding available to reimburse travel expenses; local planning dollars may be used to supplement these funds if a team incurs more travel costs than the state funds can support (details will be provided as soon as possible).

As we finalize the details of this training event, we will send out more information on the location venue, agenda and travel reimbursement process. In the meantime, please mark these dates on your calendar!
